MEGAN
PLANT TECHNICIAN
What does it take to join our team?
You must be 18 years of age or older and have a minimum of a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent education.
Our plants operate 24/7 and technicians work 12 hours per day, in various shift rotations including a single straight shift to working two or three rotating shifts. Length of work shifts or the rotation schedule can change from time to time, and additional days could be required to be worked as overtime.
Also, this can be a physically demanding job, so you’ll need to be able to lift 50 pounds by bending ad stooping; use stairs, ladders, and platforms; move freely; enter and work in confined spaces; and stand on concrete floors for an extended period of time.
Brands and Products
Our winning products and leading brands are all about innovation – in many forms, from our technology and tools to our work processes to the change we inspire. No matter your role with us, you’ll be part of something impactful and important that makes a difference.
Charmin
P&G plant workers stepped up to meet demand for toilet tissues at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. And they could do this with confidence because P&G puts so much emphasis on safety. Precautions taken included stretching out shifts to keep workers separated at the plant door, taking employees’ temperatures, and compartmentalizing workers to prevent roaming and the potential spread of illness.
Pampers
Pampers Premie diapers might be tiny but their innovative design is a huge deal. It means being able to give babies proper, careful protection and a level of close comfort they sometimes can’t have if they’re in hospital. For parents, it means they can do something small to care for their baby at a time when they often feel helpless—simply change their diaper.
Our Facility
We’re located in a state-of-the-art facility, where P&G engineers and plant technicians work together to design and utilize the latest technology to allow our manufacturing plants to produce the highest quality products at optimum production rates.
Innovation of Facility & Machinery
At P&G, innovation isn’t just about making our products the best; it’s about improving lives. Thinking innovatively across every area of the business has the power to improve our world, lend a helping hand, or spark a movement.
We believe the best ideas emerge from creative connections that happen between our talented employees. We encourage our multifunctional teams to work together to come up with new ideas to address challenges we face.
Importance of Safety
Safety is our priority—nothing we do is worth anyone getting hurt. We employ a variety of robust procedures, tools, and strategies, which are tailored to specific plants and technologies. All this is to guarantee that anybody can feel safe doing their job.
