Work-Life Balance

P&G Tabler Station cares about its employees and wants to ensure that living life does not come second to your job. Below are some of the ways Tabler Station offers a healthy work-life balance.

Schedule Rotation

Our current scheduling for Plant Technicians allows for more time at home! With our 2-3-2 rotating shift schedules, you get 15 days off per month; including two 3 day weekends per month.

Paid Parental Leave

Employees with responsibility for a child’s upbringing (including mothers, fathers, domestic partners and legal guardians) are eligible for up to 8 weeks of Paid Parental Leave to care for and bond with the child. An additional 8 weeks of leave is available to mothers and surrogates for birth and recovery time.

Training & Development

Training Programs

P&G offers many onsite and virtual training opportunites for all of our employees to build their knowledge and gain both critical and soft skills. A recent addition in 2021, is our Powers, Controls, & Information Systems (PC&IS) Technical Training Lab, which provides hands-on electrical training.

Mentoring

In addition to your team members and immediate leaders, we also offer an optional mentorship program which matches you with an experienced employee who services as a trusted advisor and role model to help you reach your full potential.

Blue Ridge Training Partnership

P&G Tabler Station has built a strong relationship with Blue Ridge Community & Technical College (BRTC). BRTC offers a P&G Certification Program that gives individuals the opportunity to obtain skills in Mechatronics, Electricity, Mechanical Systems, and Industrial Controls.
